Marley Middlebrooks led Flagler College to a 3-1 (17-25, 25-16. 25-10, 25-22) victory over Georgia College & State University in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Friday evening at the Centennial Center.
The Saints extended their winning streak to four matches and improved to 12-11 overall and 6-2 in the Peach Belt. The Bobcats dropped to 12-10 overall and 2-6 in conference play. Flagler and Georgia College meet again tomorrow at 3 p.m.
Rank and Middlebrooks tied for a match-high 18 kills individually. The 18 kills gave Rank a new career best while also posting a hitting percentage of .467. Rank added two total blocks.
Gracie Fleming contributed 12 kills as she with a .688 hitting percentage and had three total blocks.
Caity Clancy led the match in digs with 10. Clancy and Middlebrooks each had two aces.
Clare Sheedy tallied 45 assists.
Avery Huyck led the Bobcats offense with 11 kills with a .450 hitting percentage. Riese Johnson and Ile Bernis tallied 14 and 11 assists, respectively. Camryn Carlton finished with a match high five blocks. Alanis Bernis chipped in with 12 digs.
