Stone leads the Saints at the Lewis Crossover

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Will Stone placed 24th overall at the Lewis Crossover to help lead the Flagler College men's cross country team to a 14th place finish this morning at Lewis University.

The Lewis Crossover featured 37 of the nation's best teams. Among the 12 national ranked teams competing was No. 6 Colorado Christian University, No. 8 Califonia Sate University, Chico, No. 10 Saginaw Valley State University, No. 13 Pittsburg State University and No. 14 Western Washington University.

Stone was the lone Saint to crack the top 25. With his 24:31.85 finish, Stone set himself a new personal record in the 8k. Freshman Axel Dabe also set a new personal best in his 68th place, 25:05.66 finish. To complete the trifecta of personal records was Miquel Fons who finished third for the Saints and 90th overall. Fons crossed the finish line in 25:16.92.

Kaleb Hollins was the final Saint to crack the top 100 with a 95th place finish (25:20.62). Bryce Dufrene claimed 125th in 25:39.45 while Romain Biguet followed in 130th place (25:41.48). Brandon Knieja was the last Saint to finish, placing 150th in 25:48.40

Flagler will return to action to take on the Ed Holloway Classic hosted by Florida Southern College on Oct. 17.
