ST. AUGUSTINE –
Marley Smith recorded her second double-double of the season with 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds in Flagler College's 89-58 triumph over USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Wednesday afternoon at Flagler Gym.
Flagler improved to 5-7 overall and pocketed its first Peach Belt win (1-2). This is the widest margin of victory for the Saints in the 29-game history. USC Aiken lost its sixth consecutive game and dropped to 3-10 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Saints host Georgia College & State University on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Flagler took a 41-29 lead into the half and then erupted in the third quarter as the Saints out-scored the Pacers 31-13. Flagler made 66.7 percent (12-16) of its shots from the field in that quarter and sank 5-of-8 three-pointers.
Destiny McClendon scored a game-high 16 points while
Sharale McCormick tacked on 11 points and had three steals.
Se'Lah Reddick finished with 10 points, five assists, and four steals.
Abby Smith came off the bench to contribute 10 points.
Carleigh Grimm recorded a career-high four blocked shots to go along with eight rebounds.
Sami Bardonaro led the Pacers with 11 points as she made all four of her shots from the field, including 2-for-2 from three-point range, and she made her only free throw attempt. Molly Burns sank all seven of her free throws.
