PENSACOLA, Fla. – Flagler College is in seventh place after 36 holes with a 2-over par 578 (289-289) at the Argonaut Invitational, which is being played at the Pensacola Country Club (par 72; 6,903 yards).

The final round begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. Central.

No. 4 Georgia Southwestern State University leads the 15-team field with a 13-under 563 (283-280). They hold a five-stroke lead over No. 23 Coker University (568). Tied for third place is No. 5 Oklahoma Christian University and No. 17 University of West Florida at 569. Top-ranked University of North Georgia (570) follows in fifth place. Nine of the 15 teams in the field are ranked in the top 25.

Leading the 84-man field is Per Ekelund of West Florida. He shot an 8-under 136 (66-70) and holds a slim one-stroke lead over Payne Sells of Georgia Southwestern. 

Joel Petersson leads the Flagler golfers with a 1-under 143 (72-71), which puts him in a tie for 15^th place. He is tied for third with 10 pars. Nic Eberhard is in a tie for 33^rd place with a 1-over 145 (73-72). Tomas Cavanagh carded a 2-over 146 (73-73) and is tied for 36^th place. Roo Fenwick is in a tied for 45^th place with a 3-over 147 (71-76) and Franco Piovano is tied for 53^rd place with a 4-over 148 (75-73) to round out the team. Piovano recorded an eagle on the par-5 12^th hole in the first round.
