COLUMBUS, Ga. – No.8 (Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division II Top 25) Flagler College rolled to a 4-0 victory over Georgia Southwestern State University in a Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis Tournament first round match Friday afternoon at the John W. Walden Tennis Center.
Flagler improved to 13-4 overall while Georgia Southwestern had its season end at 3-11. The Saints face No. 10 Columbus State University in a semifinal match tomorrow at 10 a.m.
The Saints recorded the first team point after winning two doubles matches.
Laura Jipescu and
Toni Pfeiffer posted the first win, 6-1, over Makaina Griffin and Shy'Neshia Salter.
Nadja Meier teamed with
Charlotta Buss to win their match 6-0.
Singles ended quickly with
Eryka Kruk, Pfeiffer and Meier all winning easily in straight sets.
