ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College's
Maddie Erickson was named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division II Academic All-District® Team, according to a release this afternoon.
Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards. A select group of student-athletes advances to the national ballot where CSC members vote on Academic All-America teams. A Team Member of the Year is selected in each sport and division. An overall Academic All-America of the Year is selected as the top student-athlete across all sports in each NCAA and NAIA division.
Erickson, a sophomore forward, is a business administration major at Flagler. The Cumming, Georgia native averaged 3.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. She scored a career-high nine points on three different occasions this year and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds vs. Saint Leo University (Nov. 18, 2023). She was a PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar last year.
