Jordan Moss on base with Maseda drawing a walk after to make it two runners on. Stewart brought in Moss on a sacrifice bunt and Maseda scored on a sacrifice fly by Ricci. A walk put Smith on base with two outs and
Olivia Burns came in to pinch run for her. Pinch hitter,
Kiersten James, stepped up to the plate and connected on a ball that flew over the scoreboard for a two-run homer to make it 9-0. The Saints ended after the top of the fifth for a run-rule victory.

Back-to-back doubles from Maseda and Stewart scored another run to make it 7-4. A sacrifice fly from Ricci scored the Saints final run and was not enough to take the win, falling to UVA Wise 7-5.
