ST. AUGUSTINE-
Griffin Moore led Flagler College by scoring two goals against No. 4 (USILA Division II Top 25) University of Tampa in a 15-6 loss Wednesday afternoon at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.

The Saints fall to 1-1 while the Spartans won their season opener.

The Saints started strong with
Logan Tobias scoring the first goal within the first minute of the game. The Spartans answered back soon with three goals before hearing back from the Saints. The two teams continued to shoot back and forth ending the first quarter tied at 4-all.

The Spartans were able to pull away in the second and third quarter scoring six unanswered goals.

The Saints managed to score two more times in the last quarter with goals from
Geraint Shaw and Moore.

Despite being outscored by the Tampa, Flagler held up their end defensively. Saints goalie
Nate Lehr came out of this afternoon's game with 12 saves.
Ronan Sanchez scored three goals and tallied two assists for Tampa. Canyon Birch added three goals. Andrew Milani finished with two goals and an assist. Luca Mercaldo had 13 saves,

The Saints next game will be Feb. 10 at noon at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
