DAHLONEGA, Ga. – 
Sharale McCormick scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out five assists in Flagler College's 56-46 loss at the University of North Georgia in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the UNG Convocation Center.
North Georgia improved to 13-7 overall and 6-4 in the Peach Belt. The Nighthawks also improved to 9-3 at home. Flagler fell to 9-11 overall and 4-6 in conference play. The Saints host USC Aiken on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
UNG dominated the first 10 minutes outscoring Flagler, 18-4. The Saints cut the deficit to single digits late in the second quarter, only to trail 32-19 at the break.
Flagler did close the game on a 12-1 run that covered the final 2:35 of the contest. 
Destiny McClendon accounted for nine of those points with three 3-pointers. She finished with 11 points.
Dane Bertolina grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds. 
Aspen Weeks tacked on eight points.
The last time Flagler did not make a free throw attempt, or even take one like today, was Jan. 4, 2017 against North Georgia. The Saints lead the PBC with a 75.8 free throw percentage.
Emily Trushel led all scorers with 18 points for the Nighthawks. Kendall Emener recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Isabel Davenport added 12 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Kaylee Sticker grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.
