MELBOURNE, Fla. -
Trace McDonald led Flagler College with five goals and an assist in its 14-13 win tonight against Florida Tech at the VTC Field.

The Saints move up to 3-1 overall while the Panthers drop to 0-4 for the season so far.
The game was neck and neck until
Logan Tobias and McDonald scored back-to-back in the last three minutes, securing the Saints win.

Flagler got an early but close lead ending the first half with a 6-5 advantage, and three of the goals were from McDonald.

The Panthers were able to hold the Saints off only allowing them to get two goals off in the third quarter. The Panthers began to close the gap and ended the third quarter 10-10.

Goalie
Nate Lehr also helped the Saints achieve victory making 12 saves.
Matt Mitrega paced the defense with seven ground balls.

Although they came up short in the end the Panthers goalie Jax Francisco stood out with 10 saves for the night.
Zach Rozgonyi, Joe Coveleski, and Griffin Martin each scored three goals for Florida Tech.

The Saints will return to the Flagler Lacrosse Field on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. to take on No. 15 (USILA/Blatant Division II Top 25) Florida Southern College.
