ST. AUGUSTINE - Five different players scored with double-digit points for Flagler College in a 79-33 rout of the University of Fort Lauderdale in a non-conference women's basketball game tonight at the Flagler Gym.

Flagler improved to 3-4 overall, and it was the second win in a row for the Saints. Fort Lauderdale drops to 1-5 for the season. Up next for the Saints will be another home game and the Peach Belt Conference opener against Georgia Southwestern State University on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Jazmine Major came off the bench to lead the Saints with 11 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.
Jessica Dowdy,
Sharale McCormick,
Aspen Weeks, and
Marley Smith all scored 10 points apiece for the Saints.
Carleigh Grimm grabbed seven rebounds while Se'Lah Redick added six more boards to go along with five assists.

Maiya Petit lead the Eagles with a game-high 16 points and nine rebounds. Kindal Glanton added nine points and nine rebounds.

The Saints created an early lead scoring 20 points in the first period and held the Eagles to 1-of-12 shooting from the field. continued that momentum scoring 20 points every quarter except the final period where Flagler tallied 19.

Flagler forced 34 turnovers and converted those into 36 points. That was the most turnovers caused by the Saints since the 36 turnovers by Ave Maria University on Nov. 17, 2013.
