ST. AUGUSTINE –
Jaylen Jordon made a fantastic debut as he recorded a double-double with 18 points and a game-high 10 rebounds as Flagler College defeated Emory & Henry University in a non-conference men's basketball game Friday evening at Flagler Gym in the second game of the Southeast Region Crossover.
That was the first season opening win for Flagler since Nov. 8, 2019 when it trounced Southern Wesleyan University 84-66 at Flagler Gym in another Southeast Region Crossover Tournament.
Jordon was nearly perfect on the night as he made 7-of-9 from the field and sank all four free throws.
Destin Clark scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds while
Jax Bouknight added 16 points and five assists.
Mason Manning chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.
Gabe Brown led the Wasps with 21 points and Korbin Dixon came off the bench to tally 18 more.
The Saints opened the game on a 5-0, which started with a thunderous dunk by Jordon. A 13-4 run early in second grew the Flagler lead to 19.
