INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Flagler College volleyball team received the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional which will be held Dec. 6-8 at Cuddy Arena on the campus of Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina. The winners of the eight regionals will advance to the national finals Dec. 12-14 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Flagler (14-10) opens play in the tournament against No. 6 seed Anderson University (19-10). The Saints lead the all-time series 3-0, but they have not met since Flagler won 3-2 on Dec. 1, 2017 in a semifinal round match of the regional tournament at Flagler Gym. The Saints are making their 12th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Flagler has made four elite eight appearances and is the only team from the region to win a match in that portion of the tournament.

Flagler earned the Peach Belt Conference's automatic berth when it won the league's tournament title for the eighth time since joining the PBC in 2009. The Saints swept Augusta University in the championship match. Flagler has won 9-of-its-last-10 matches. Jordan Berglin was selected as the tournament's most valuable player, and she was joined by Molly Boyd and Clare Sheedy on the all-tournament team. Berglin earned first team All-PBC honors for the fourth year in a row as she leads the Saints with 3.39 kills per set and her 2.34 digs per set is third. Boyd's .379 hitting percentage leads the club as does her 0.98 blocks per set. She earned first team all-conference honors. Sheedy is averaging 9.62 assists per set to go along with a team-best 0.43 aces per set. She took home second team all-conference honors.

Anderson had its five-match winning streak snapped in a 3-2 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne University in a South Atlantic Conference Tournament semifinal match. The Trojans are led by three second team All-SAC honorees – Brantley Chipley, Ellie Nieporte, and Ava Reeves. Chipley leads the team with a .324 hitting percentage and 0.84 blocks per match while her 2.34 kills per set average is third. Nieporte is averaging a league-leading 10.45 assists as well as 2.28 digs and 0.35 blocks per set. Reeves leads the offensive attack with 3.23 kills per set, which ranks second in the SAC. Her 371 kills lead the league. Emily Campbell was named to the All-SAC third team. She is averaging 0.78 blocks and 2.38 kills per set.
