SAINT LEO, Fla. –
Carleigh Grimm scored a career-high 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds in Flagler College's 76-50 loss at Saint Leo University in a non-conference women's basketball game Tuesday evening at the Marion Bowman Activities Center.
Saint Leo remained undefeated at 3-0 while Flagler dropped to 1-4. The Saints are back in action Nov. 26 at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina.
Emerson Kutz made her collegiate debut and scored seven points while
Destiny McClendon and
Aspen Weeks each added six points.
Se'Lah Reddick finished with five points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
Vanessa McManus led four Lions in double-figures with a game-high 19 points. Chynna Mattair added 18 points while Alanis Diaz recorded a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Taydra Simpson contributed 13 points.
Saint Leo used a 12-0 run midway through the second quarter to take a 45-23 lead. The Lions took a 52-29 lead into the half. Saint Leo shot a blistering 52.9 percent (9-17) from the field and held Flagler to 25 percent (4-16) shooting.
