Reddick leads Flagler in loss at Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Se'Lah Reddick scored a season-high 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out six assists in Flagler College's 62-54 loss to Columbus State University in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Wednesday evening at the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center.

Columbus State improved to 8-7 overall and 4-3 in the Peach Belt. Flagler is now 7-10 overall and 2-5 in conference play. The Saints host USC-Beaufort on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

The game was tied at 25 at the half and Sharale McCormick's layup just 1:39 into the third quarter gave the Saints their last lead of the game, 27-25. The Lady Cougars went on to score the next eight points and never relinquished the lead. Flagler rallied to within a possession on four different occasions, but couldn't get any closer.

Destiny McClendon added 11 points while McCormick chipped in with 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Dane Bertolina finished with seven points and eight rebounds.

After shooting 41.2 percent from the field in the first quarter, the Saints finished the game with a 27.3 percent mark.

Jasmine Rai Stevens led the Lady Cougars with a game-high 15 points. Bre'Lyn Snipes added 10 points and nine rebounds. Olivia West tacked on nine points and six rebounds.

Columbus State shot 45.5 percent from the field in the second half after struggling with a 24.2 percent mark in the first half.
