AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College junior guard
Sharale McCormick was selected as the Peach Belt Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 14, announced Monday afternoon by conference officials.
This is her first weekly award from the conference office and the program's first since Feb. 28, 2022 when Tori Pearce was selected.
McCormick led the Saints with a 21.0 points per game average as Flagler split its two conference games this past week. She averaged 6.5 rebounds per game and made 51.5 percent of her shots from the field. In an 85-80 win at USC Aiken last Wednesday, the North Lauderdale, Florida native scored a team-high 21 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out three assists. McCormick made 9-of-14 from the field. She tallied a game-high 21 points with eight rebounds in an 87-75 loss at Georgia College & State University last Saturday.
McCormick is 16
th in the PBC in scoring (11.6 ppg).
Flagler hosts Augusta University on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Flagler Gym.
