AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College fell in a weekend sweep against Augusta University in three sets tonight 8-25, 15-25, 12-25 at Christenberry Fieldhouse to end the first weekend in conference play.
The Saints posted 19 kills, 4 blocks, 33 digs and 1 ace as a team. The Jaguars beat that out with 43 kills, 11 blocks, 47 digs and 5 aces.
Augusta improved to 11-3 overall and 2-0 in the Peach Belt. Flagler is now 2-11 overall and 0-2 in league play.
Jordan Berglin and
Cecilia Robert led with four kills each.
Lainee Mack put down a service ace for the Saints.
Jazmyn Wheeler was the leader for Augusta with 19 kills. Janvier Buggs led with 35 assists and added 3 blocks as well as 9 digs.
Flagler will return home to face USC Aiken on Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
