ST. AUGUSTINE –
Trey Wilson of the men's golf team was selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic At-Large All-District® team, according to a release Tuesday.
To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, and have played in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed on the nomination form. No athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
Wilson is a business administration major with minors in marketing and computer information systems. He finished with a 3.57 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and graduated cum laude. The Powell, Ohio native averaged 74.5 strokes per round and played in eight-of-the-10 tournaments this season. Wilson finished in a tie for 11
th place with a 3-over par 219 at the Jay Jennison Cup. He is a two-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll scholar and earned academic all-conference honors last year. Wilson was a recipient of the D2 ADA award in 2022.
Wilson is now eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors.
