Mason Gray earns academic all-district honors

ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College sophomore infielder/outfielder Mason Gray was selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® NCAA Division II team, released by officials on May 16.

Gray is the eighth baseball player to earn this academic honor and the first since 2020 (Aaron Anderson).

To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.

Gray is a business administration major at Flagler. He holds a cumulative grade point average of 3.98. The Lake City, Florida native played in 26 games with 25 starts before suffering a season-ending injury. He led the team with a .347 batting average as he had 35 hits, five doubles, 15 runs batted in, and he scored 18 runs. Gray also stole seven bases, had four sacrifice hits, and two sacrifice flies.  

Gray is now eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors.
