NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Flagler College women's lacrosse team held firm at No. 10, in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Top 25 poll, which was released this afternoon.
Flagler (17-1 overall, 6-0 Gulf South) won the Gulf South Conference Tournament this past weekend at the Flagler Lacrosse Field. The Saints won their semifinal game against Lee University (20-14) and then were victorious in the championship game against Lander University (16-12).
The top three from last week remain unchanged, once again. West Chester University (17-0) is in the top spot again and received 12 first-place votes. Pace University (15-1) followed at No. 2 and received six first-place votes. The University of Tampa (17-2) held steady at No. 3. The University of Indianapolis (17-2) moved up one spot to No. 4 while Le Moyne College (15-2) rounds out the top five.
Other teams from the South and Southeast Regions that are nationally ranked are: No. 6 Florida Southern College (16-3), tied for are Rollins College (15-3) and Wingate University (16-2), No. 13 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (13-5), No. 19 Lynn University (12-6), and No. 25 Saint Leo University (10-7).
Flagler is idle until the NCAA Division II regionals.
