ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- The Flagler College softball team sixth inning surge allowed the Saints to win 7-5 in a Peach Belt Conference game over the Lander University Bearcats on Saturday afternoon at Flagler Field.

The Saints (13-26, 8-13) trailed 4-2 going into the sixth inning.

Mackenzie Smith opened the half-inning with a single and advanced to second off a Lander (22-13, 13-8) error. Alex Vitola pinch ran for Smith and advanced to third off a wild pitch. Trinity Fry drew a walk before Olivia Parker singled through the left side to plate Vitola. After Madison Vogel drew a walk, the bases were loaded.

A single from Mercedes Salinas plated Maseda to make it 7-4.

Cassidy Crump connected on her third home run of the season in the first inning, batting in Fry and tying the score at 2-2.
