Cassidy Crump and
Jordan Moss each connected on a home run to highlight Flagler College softball team's 5-1 Peach Belt Conference win against the University of South Carolina Aiken on Sunday afternoon at J.H. Satcher field.
Crump put the Saints (15-29, 10-14) on the board at 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning with a two-RBI homer to center field to plate
Abbey O'Connor.
The Pacers (12-28, 10-14) responded with a single to bat in Skylar Morely.
In the fifth inning, Moss put the Saints up 3-1 after a home run to center field. A double in the sixth inning by Crump allowed O'Connor to score.
In the seventh inning, the Saints added their last run with a single from
Paige Maseda to plate Moss.
Madelyn Wise (3-5) was credited with the win after tossing a complete game, giving up three hits and one run.
The junior had three strikeouts and induced four ground outs and 13 ground outs.
Patyon Baker (8-14) took the loss after pitching four innings and giving up four hits and three runs.
Next, the Saints will travel to Melbourne, Florida to face Florida Tech on Wednesday, April 19.
