Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.- Flagler softball's early lead was not enough to stop Nova Southeastern in a 5-3 loss in game two of a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday at the AD Griffin Sports Complex.

The Saints started the scoring early in the first inning. A double to left field by Paige Maseda and a single from Abbey O'Connor put runners at first and second. Madelyn Childs followed with sacrifice bunt allowed Maseda to score.

In the fifth inning, Trinity Fry connected on a single to left field. Maseda added another double to right field, driving home Fry to even the score at 3-3.

Jordan Sheets (5-4) took the loss for the Saints, giving up four hits and five runs. The freshman has two strikeouts and induced five fly outs and 10 ground outs.

In game one, the Saints lost 9-1.

Courtney Robinson led Flagler offensively with a two RBI double to left field that plated Fry.

Rachel Hester (3-4) was given the loss after giving up nine hits and seven runs. The sophomore had four strikeouts and caused eight fly outs and three ground outs.

Next, the Saints will host the University of South Carolina Beaufort in a three-game series on March 18-19.
