ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- Georgia College and State University withstood Flagler's seventh inning rally for a 3-2 win in a Peach Belt Conference game Sunday afternoon at Flagler Field.

At the bottom of the seventh inning,
Courtney Robinson connected on a single to third base.
Regan Miller followed with a two RBI home run to left field to put the Saints (5-9, 2-1) on the board.

Jordan Sheets (3-2) took the loss for the Saints after pitching 5.2 innings. The freshman gave up one run and nine hits during the game. Sheets had three strikeouts and induced three fly outs and nine ground outs. Â Sheets is currently ranked second in the conference with 0.86 ERA.

Madelyn Wise (0-4) pitched one inning, giving up two hits and one run. The junior walked one batter.

Mallory Forrester (0-1) started for the Saints and gave up one run and walked one batter.

The Bobcats (11-5, 1-2) scored their first run in the first inning. With the bases loaded, a single to the pitcher from Divina Checo allowed Emily Hobbs to score. In the second inning, a single to left field from Kam Caldwell plated Mackenzie Hoffman. The Saints trailed 2-0.

Georgia College added their last run with a double to the right field line, batting in Sydney Lancaster.

Next, the Saints will travel to Young Harris, Georgia for a three game Peach Belt Conference series on March 4-5.
