ST. AUGUSTINE –
Lexie Morton scored four goals leading No. 17 (IWLCA Division II Top 25) Flagler College in a 17-7 victory against Lincoln Memorial University this afternoon at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.
Flagler improved to 3-1 overall and Lincoln Memorial is now 1-3.
A total of 11 different Saints found the back of the net into today's high scoring game. Morton had a stand out offensive performance along with
Katelyn Trainor who scored three and
Somer White with two goals.
Greta McGinnis helped the Saints maintain possession of the ball, winning seven draw controls.
Flagler's defensive unit held off Lincoln Memorial for most of the game with Jen Seebach causing four turnovers. The Saints showcased three different goalies in today's game including
Lauren Ribadeneira,
Kailey Bawcombe, and
Grace Schwab. All three each garnered a save.
Chandler Bell led the Lady Railsplitters with three goals and one assist. Ali Van Der Ziel added two goals and one assist. Elle Miller tallied eight saves.
The Saints will be back on March 4 at 7 p.m. for a home matchup against Concordia University of St. Paul, Minnesota.
