ST. AUGUSTINE –
Sharale McCormick scored a game-high 24 points in Flagler College's 68-52 loss to Augusta University in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.
Augusta extended its winning streak to four games and improved to 17-9 overall and 10-6 in the Peach Belt. Flagler is now 6-20 overall and 3-13 in league play.
The Jaguars scored the first seven points of the game and never looked back.
Kennedi Manning scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Mone Florence and Tomiyah Alford each added 12 points. Autumn Phillips chipped in with 10 points. Kiera Howard finished with four steals.
Augusta forced 19 Flagler turnovers and scored 18 points off those miscues.
Jessica Dowdy added nine points for the Saints.
Taylor Gardner finished with eight points, five rebounds and three assists.
Flagler visits Georgia College & State University on Wednesday in its last road game of the season.
