DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –
Destiny McClendon scored a season-high 24 points to help lead Flagler College to a 68-52 win over Florida Tech at the Bahama House Shootout Saturday evening at the ICI Center.
Flagler evened its record to 3-3 while Florida Tech dropped to 3-6. The next game for the Saints is Dec. 12 against Southern Wesleyan University at Flagler Gym.
The Saints went on a 17-6 run that lasted 7:34 of the second quarter to gain their largest lead (39-19).

The Panthers would not go away as they reeled off 11 unanswered points in the third quarter to pull to within eight (46-38) after a Sarah Liberatore free throw. But that would be as close as Florida Tech would get.
Flagler ended the game on a 9-3 spurt thanks to a three-pointer and a basket by
Aspen Weeks.
McClendon made 7-of-12 from the field and 8-of-10 from the free throw line. Her string of 19 consecutive made free throws came to an end in the second quarter.
