MIAMI SHORES, Fla. –
Andres Morral scored his first collegiate goal in the 70
th minute to complete Flagler College's rally in a 3-2 win at Barry University in a non-conference men's soccer match Wednesday night at Buccaneer Field.
Flagler improved to 3-4-3 overall and snapped Barry's four-match winning streak dropping them to 4-3-1. The Buccaneers had shut out their last three opponents.
Toby McCallum corralled a loose ball at midfield and dribbled into the offensive zone and found Morral on the left charging ahead whose shot went between the keeper and the near post.
Marcus Hedemann's unassisted goal in the 56
th minute got the Saints on the board after trailing 2-0 at the half. Less than one minute later,
Liam Fisch scored the equalizer off a double-assist from
Paul Hansen and McCallum.
Cameron McDonald and Juan Valiente scored first half goals for the Buccaneers.
Dylan Fricke played in his first game tonight and recorded four saves. Rafael Furlani played in the first half for Barry and made three saves. Juan Wulff played the second half and allowed the three goals, but did make three saves.
Flagler out-shot Barry 19-17 and each team had seven corner kicks.
The Saints host No. 11 (United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25) Clayton State University on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Saints Field.
