TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Destin Clark led four Flagler College players in double figures with a game-high 19 points, but Florida State University made a late push to win 90-74 in a men's basketball exhibition game Sunday afternoon at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

"What a great experience for our guys to go play at Florida State," said head coach Blake Selland. "We talk about playing with joy and I was proud of each and every one of our players tonight, because we enjoyed the moment."

Clark made 6-of-11 from the field and sank 6-of-7 from the free throw line. Omar Figueroa sank four 3-pointers to account for all of his 12 points while Kyle Young added 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Malik Bryant finished with 10 points and five rebounds. Jax Bouknight tallied four assists and grabbed six boards.

Flagler trailed the entire first half, but used a 10-2 run to close the first 20 minutes and trail by only one (44-43) at the break.

The run continued into the early stages of the second half. A pair of Bouknight free throws gave the Saints a 45-44 lead. Young would add a pair of free throws and Bryant's layup extended the lead to 49-44.

Flagler held the lead until a transition dunk by Florida State's Taylor Bol Bowen gave the Seminoles a 56-55 lead with 13:23 left.

Clark made the second of two free throws to tie the game at 71 with 6:45 to go, but Florida State would pull away with a 19-3 run.

Jamir Watkins led the Seminoles with 18 points, six rebounds, and five steals. He made all six shots from the field. Baba Miller added 16 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. Cam'Ron Fletcher came off the bench to provide 13 points and eight rebounds. Darin Green, Jr. finished with 13 points.

The last time these two teams met was Nov. 4, 2013, in another exhibition game. The Seminoles won that game, 76-47.

Flagler opens the season on Nov. 11 at the Southeast Region Crossover, hosted by Anderson University. The Saints take on the host school at 1:30 p.m. and will conclude the tournament on Nov. 12 against Southern Wesleyan University.
