ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College fell in three sets to Lander University (23-25, 22-25, 26-28) Friday night in Flagler Gymnasium.
The Saints posted 27 kills, 51 digs, 13 blocks and 6 aces as a team. The Bearcats had 44 kills, 58 digs, 5 blocks and 9 aces.
Jordan Berglin led the Saints with 10 kills and a .269 hitting percentage. She also added 9 digs and 3 blocks. The freshmen setter duo of
Amelia Fitzpatrick and
Lainee Mack each posted 11 assists, while Fitzpatrick led with 2 aces.
Colby Stempkowski earned six blocks out of the Saints 13 total.
Lander improved to 19-2 overall and 6-0 in the Peach Belt. Flagler is now 5-13 overall and 3-4 in league play.
Katie Miller recorded a double-double for the Bearcats with 11 kills and 13 digs.
Flagler will face Lander again tomorrow at 3 p.m. in Flagler Gymnasium.
