AIKEN, S.C. –
Sharale McCormick scored a team-high 11 points and grabbed six rebounds in Flagler College's 74-52 loss at USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center.
The Pacers improved to 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the Peach Belt. USC Aiken has won four-of-its-last-five games. The Saints are now 3-11 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
USC Aiken opened the game by scoring eight unanswered points and never looked back. The Pacers held a 36-25 lead at the half and then shot 63.2 percent (12-19) from the field in the third quarter to take a 64-41 lead through 30 minutes.
Miracle Parker added nine points for Flagler while
Sara Pedraza and
Beka Benge each contributed eight points.
Maddie Erickson grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
Emily Trushel scored a game-high 18 points and she corralled eight rebounds for the Pacers. Hailey Unger added 16 points while Jentri Worley supplied 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Delaney Trushel finished with six assists, five rebounds and four steals.
Flagler remains on the road to face No. 14 (WBCA Division II Top 25) Georgia Southwestern State University on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Storm Dome.
