ST. AUGUSTINE - The No. 11 Flagler College women's soccer team hosted No. 18 Florida Tech Monday evening in the Saint's home opener where the two teams ended the full 90 minutes knotted at 0-0.

Flagler got two shots off from
Moa Arlebo and
Shannon Matthaei in the first 10 minutes of the match. Florida Tech responded, taking the next four shots over a 10-minute span. The Saints and Panthers battled for possession in the first half as Flagler tallied five shots, while the Panthers tested
Madison North with nine shots. North made five saves in the net while Florida Tech's Maria Sanchez Recuero made one save in the first 45 which maintained the 0-0 score.

In the second half,
Emery Biggs put the pressure on Florida Tech's defense and had a shot on goal within the first 30 seconds, but Sanchez Recuero made the stop, holding the 0-0 score. Florida Tech had the game's final shot in the 78th minute, but North made her final save of the day, finalizing the 0-0 tie.

The Panthers held the advantage in shots (11-9), shots on goal (6-3) and corners (6-2). North made six stops in the cage while Sanchez Recuero made three saves on the day.

The Saints hit the road for their first conference game of the season at Columbus State University, Saturday, September 10 at 12 p.m.
