ST. AUGUSTINE –
Jordan Berglin had a match-high 12 kills to help lead Flagler College to a sweep (25-11, 25-15, 25-19) of Young Harris College in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Thursday evening at Flagler Gym.
Flagler improved to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in the Peach Belt. Young Harris dropped to 3-12 and 0-4 in conference play. The same two teams meet at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Flagler Gym.
Berglin finished with a .276 hitting percentage as she only had four errors on 29 swings.
Audrey Simmons added seven kills and had four total blocks.
Logan Garcia supplied six kills and four total blocks.
Arianna Lopez had a season high five block assists.
Kennedy Muff tallied a match-high 24 assists and became the fifth player in school history to surpass the 3,000-assist plateau.
Edie Lamoreaux collected 11 digs while
Cameron Fenner and
Annie Bart each added eight more.
Shelby Mullins led Young Harris with six kills. Mollie Lawrence tallied 15 assists and Kallee McKinney led the defense with seven digs.
Berglin recorded five of her kills in the first set and the Saints held the Mountain Lions to a -.059 hitting percentage.
Berglin had four more kills in the second set and Flagler limited Young Harris to a .000 hitting percentage.
In the final set, the Saints had six players with two or more kills in a balanced attack.
Sidney Hogan tallied six assists.
