AUGUSTA, Ga. – Three members of the Flagler College men's lacrosse team have earned spots on the Peach Belt Conference All-PBC Team, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Thomas Pritchard got the nod as a first-team midfielder, while faceoff man
Jake Griffin earned second-team honors and
Drew Flagg was tabbed Co-Freshman of the Year.
Pritchard has been a key piece of the Saints' offensive attack this year. The Fort Myers, Fla., native has recorded 28 points off of 21 goals and seven assists. He has recorded three hat tricks this year, including a season-high five goals against Lander University. His performance against Lander earned him a spot on the USILA Division II Team of the Week that week. He has also scooped up 21 ground balls and caused six turnovers.
Griffin has anchored the faceoff circle all year for coach
Efrain Gutierrez. He owns a faceoff percentage of .507 (110-217) and a team-high 73 ground balls. He scored his lone goal of the season after gaining control of a faceoff and rushing down the field against Lynn University.
Flagg, who shares the honor with Carter Wilcox of Lander and Hunter Coleman from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, has had no problems scoring goals all year for head coach
Brian Duncan. The attacker from Belleview, Fla., has scored a team-high 26 goals and dished out nine helpers. He has posted five hat tricks, including a six-goal showing in the program's first win against Young Harris College on April 2. Eight of those goals have been on man-up opportunities.
The Saints take the field this coming Friday, April 6 against the No. 1 seed, Alabama in Huntsville at Charger Park at 8 p.m. ET.
