AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Flagler College women's tennis team is the No. 3 seed heading into the Peach Belt Conference Tournament, beginning Friday at Columbus State University's John W. Walden Tennis Center in Columbus, Georgia. Flagler will face sixth-seed Lander at 2 p.m.
The Saints finished tied atop the PBC standings, alongside the University of North Georgia and Columbus State, with a 6-1 record. Flagler defeated North Georgia, 4-3 and lost to CSU 5-2, with all three earning a share of the PBC regular-season title and the ITA national rankings determining the seeding in the PBC Tournament.
CSU is ranked sixth nationally, while UNG is seventh and Flagler is No. 11; therefore, the seeding mirrors those rankings for the conference tournament. The Saints are the defending PBC Tournament champions and will have a rematch with the Bearcats, who they upended 6-1 on Senior Day on April 20.
