DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The No. 11 Flagler College women's tennis team notched its eighth win against a nationally-ranked opponent Friday afternoon after coming away with a 4-3 win against No. 7 the University of North Georgia at the UNG Tennis Complex in Yahoola Creek Park.
The Saints improve to 13-6 on the year, with a 5-1 record in Peach Belt Conference play. Of the 19 matches Flagler has played, 14 of them have been against nationally-ranked opponents. The Nighthawks drop to 13-3 overall and suffer their first PBC setback, moving to 5-1 in conference contests.

Luisa Hrda and
Eden Schlagenhauf came away with a 6-4 victory for the teams 13
th win of the season, which is leading the team.
Anika Nissen and
Alessandra Traub continued to be a steady presence at second doubles, winning their 11th consecutive match, 6-3. At third doubles,
Florencia Massardo Brain and
Addison Skye Breunich handed their opponents a 6-2 loss.
In singles play, Traub's strong doubles play transitioned to her singles match. While playing third singles, she cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory for her 12th singles win of the spring season. No. 5 Hrda faced off with No. 74 Vaishali Jorge at first singles. The two players are no strangers to one another —with this being the third meeting —as Hrda won both matches last year. This year was no different, with Hrda scoring the third point for Flagler behind a 6-0, 6-2 win.
North Georgia brought the score to 3-2 with wins at sixth and second singles, but Nissen clinched the match for the Saints with her 16th consecutive win. The fourth singles standout won 6-4, 6-1 to secure the victory.
Flagler returns to the court tomorrow for the team's final regular-season contest, staying in the Peach State for a match at Young Harris College at 11 a.m.
