TEMPE, Ariz. – After back-to-back ranked wins, the Flagler College women's tennis team moved up to No. 13 and have one nationally ranked singles player and doubles team in this week's DII Women ITA Collegiate Tennis National Team Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point, the organization announced Thursday.

Luisa Hrda maintained her No.5 singles ranking, while she and Eden Schlagenhauf are the new No. 7 doubles team in the nation.

Head coach Rodrigo Puebla's squad was recently tabbed the No. 2 team in the southeast region with a 10-5 record. Of the 15 matches the team has played, a whopping 11 of them have been against nationally-ranked opponents. Flagler notched two wins against the No. 15 University of Tampa, 5-2, who stayed stationary this week, and then No. 64 Georgia College, 5-2, who moved up two spots to No. 62.

Hrda turned in two wins last week, defeating Maria Khomchenko of Tampa, 6-2, 6-0 and Georgia College's Sofia Shing 6-4, 6-2. In the spring season, Hrda is 10-3, while playing all matches at first singles.

The German duo has played first doubles all year, owning a 10-2 record on the year. They are 2-0 against other nationally-ranked foes, topping the then-No. 7 doubles team in the nation for Rollins College with a 6-1 victory.

The Saints take to the court again Friday for their third consecutive ranked matchup, heading north to Valdosta, Georgia, for a matchup with No. 56 Valdosta State University at 2 p.m.
