Flagler College announced the addition of men's and women's lacrosse as NCAA Division II sport offerings in Fall 2019.
Brian Duncan and
Grant Kelam were hired in July 2020 to lead the men's and women's programs, respectively. Sixty-three men and 45 women initially enrolled at Flagler in the fall of 2021 to compete on the inaugural teams.
The Flagler College Lacrosse and Intramurals Field was completed in time for the first women's game on Feb. 9 against Webber International University. Junior transfer
Jordan Green scored the first goal in both program and facility history off an assist from sophomore
Kate Piscopo as the Saints beat Webber International, 25-4.
SCG Fields constructed the facility, which includes a synthetic turf surface with BrockFill, state-of-the-art LED lighting by Qualite Sports Lighting, and a seating capacity of 350. Plans are underway for the construction of on-site locker rooms for both teams as well as permanent spectator restrooms and concessions facilities.
