SAINT. LEO, Fla. – Flagler College scored a season-high 13 goals while falling at Saint Leo University Saturday afternoon, 22-13, at University Turf Stadium.
Flagler continues to search for its first win, falling to 0-7. Saint Leo improved to 4-1.
Paxton Crowell scored his first collegiate goal six seconds in after firing off a deep shot, immediately following a faceoff win and pickup by
Jake Griffin.
Both teams traded goals until the final minute of the first quarter when the Lions netted three goals to open up a 6-3 lead.
In the second quarter, Saint Leo took control, outscoring Flagler 8-3 in the quarter, including the final five of the half. Flagler was able to cut the lead to six multiple times in the third quarter, but Saint Leo always responded.
Drew Flagg recorded his second hat trick of the season, while
Jackson Krasny and
Willy Bateman each added two. This was Krasny's first multi-goal game of the campaign.
Dylan Wilson scored the first goal of his college career with 6:54 in the second quarter.
Ty Tom extended his point streak to four following a goal and an assist.
Saint Leo was led by Tyler Eames, who posted a season-high six goals. Guy Bistrow added four and Justin Williams pitched in two.
Flagler returns to action this coming Wednesday, March 16, when Lynn University comes to the Flagler Lacrosse and Intramurals Field for a 2 p.m. contest.
