Pearce records double-double Wednesday night

AMERICUS, Ga. – Tori Pearce recorded her 12th double-double of the season with a team-high 14 points and she grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds in an 88-59 loss to Georgia Southwestern State University in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Wednesday evening at the Storm Dome.

Georgia Southwestern extended its winning streak to seven games and improved to 20-3 overall and 12-2 in the Peach Belt. Flagler is now 11-12 overall and 5-8 in conference play.

The Lady Hurricanes opened the game on a 10-0 run and never trailed in the game.

Pearce added four assists and three steals for the Saints. Amuk Tong tied her career high with 12 points while Keegan Brace and Taylor Gardner added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Jacquelyn Levay led the Lady 'Canes with a game-high 19 points. Kayla Langley recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jolicia Williams contributed 16 points and Ava Jones tacked on 14 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.

Georgia Southwestern forced 21 Flagler turnovers and converted them into 25 points.

Flagler travels north to face USC Aiken on Saturday.
