Dan McGuire of the men's soccer team was selected as Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Holiday Inn Express for the month of October. 

McGuire was named player of the week on Oct. 31. 

(From the Oct. 31 release) McGuire scored two goals and tallied an assist in the Peach Belt Conference Semifinal against Clayton State University. McGuire assisted Liam Fisch's goal in the 20th minute. In the 77th minute, McGuire made it a 2-0 game after Jonas Schmitt sent a feed from the top left corner of the box to McGuire who scored from the edge of the goal area. McGuire netted his second goal of the game in the 89th minute after dribbling the ball up the field and taking the keeper one-on-one to seal Flagler's 3-0 victory.

McGuire and the men's soccer team will head to Greenwood, South Carolina to face Lander University in the Peach Belt Conference Championship Sunday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m.
