DAHLONEGA, Ga. -
Sadie Russell recorded 14 points as Flagler College fell to No. 11 (WBCA Division II Top 25) University of North Georgia 76-55 in a Peach Belt Conference matchup Monday night at the UNG Convocation Center.
With the loss, the Saints dropped to 9-8 overall and 3-4 in PBC play. The Nighthawks improved to 13-1 overall and 7-0 in PBC play.
The Nighthawks opened up a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never relinquished that lead for the entire game.
Taylor Gardner contributed 12 points, while
Tori Pearce pulled down nine rebounds. Russell added four rebounds and steals.
The Nighthawks were led by Jose Earnhardt, who posted 19 points and Juliana Sutton recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds.     Â
Flagler returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 22 at home against Augusta University for a PBC matchup with a tip-off scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
