YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. –
Kohl Roberts led five players in double figures with 17 points as Flagler College defeated Young Harris College 88-78 in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center.
Flagler improved to 12-3 overall and 5-1 in the Peach Belt. Young Harris lost its seventh game in a row and fell to 3-12 overall and 0-6 in conference play.

Chad Warner. "I thought we played with good intensity and effort. Kohl and Curtis (Lewis) really gave us a great lift."
The Saints opened the game on a 17-6 run and went into the half with a commanding 44-27 lead.
The Mountain Lions started the second half with a 17-7 run to trim the deficit to seven (51-44) after a Lenny Pradia transition jumper in the lane.
However, Flagler withstood the rush and countered with a 17-2 spurt that was capped by a
Chase Fiddler three-pointer. That basket gave the Saints their largest lead of the game, 68-46.
Young Harris would rally to pull to within seven (76-69) with four minutes left, but could not get any closer.
Lewis tied his season high with 16 points, 11 of those came in the first half. He added five assists, which also tied a career best. Jaziec Lottie added 14 points, 10 of them coming from the free throw line. He added six rebounds and four assists. Fiddler tallied 12 points, all coming on three-pointers.
Derrick Ellis, Jr. supplied 10 points and five rebounds.
Chris Metzger tacked on eight points and seven rebounds.
Flagler made 21 free throws, the most made by a Saints team (22) since Feb. 6, 2019 vs. Augusta.
Karl Chavis led the Mountain Lions with 24 points and eight rebounds. He made 14-of-17 from the free throw line. Carl Cleveland added 16 points while Pradia came off the bench to provide 13 more.
Flagler takes on the University of North Georgia on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Dahlonega.
