ST. AUGUSTINE – Rachel Machovec made a triumphant return to the court with a match-high 16 kills, seven digs, and a .406 hitting percentage in the annual Crimson & Gold scrimmage Saturday evening at Flagler Gymnasium. The match ended in a 2-2 tie.

Kennedy Muff recorded a double-double with 31 assists and 11 digs. She also had three aces. Rebekah Machovec finished with eight kills, seven digs, and three total blocks. Logan Garcia and Jordan Berglin each contributed five kills.

Victoria Bowrosen paced the gold team with eight kills. Beglin added eight kills too. Cameron Fenner tallied 23 assists.

The Saints open the season on Friday (Sept. 2) against Belmont Abbey College (1 p.m.) and No. 6 (AVCA Division II Top 25) Lewis University (7:30 p.m.) at Flagler Gymnasium.
