ST. AUGUSTINE –
Jaizec Lottie led four Flagler College players in double figures with 14 points in a 74-68 win over the University of North Georgia in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Friday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.
Flagler improved to 8-2 overall and won its conference opener. North Georgia lost its third game in a row and dropped to 7-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
"I think North Georgia is very good and I thought they played extremely well and tough," said head coach
Chad Warner. "We took a good punch and had a lot of guys make key plays for us. I am happy for our guys to get a conference win."

Chase Fiddler three-pointer with 5:55 left in the first half gave the Saints their first lead (32-31) since the opening minutes of the game. The basket was part of a 15-5 run by Flagler that wiped out a seven-point North Georgia lead. The Saints would not trail again and took a 41-36 lead into the half.
A Fiddler trey with 11:18 left in the game gave Flagler its largest lead, 60-47. He came off the bench to tally 12 points, all coming on three-pointers.
Chris Metzger added 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds for the Saints.
Curtis Lewis supplied 10 points.
Flagler out-rebounded North Georgia 35-29 and had 12 offensive boards and the Saints scored 11 points off those put-backs.
Frank Champion led all scorers with 18 points for the Nighthawks. Greg Billups, Jr. added 14 points while Kody Shubert contributed 12 points and six assists.
Flagler hosts Young Harris College in another Peach Belt Conference game on Monday at 3 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
