CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Flagler College men's cross country team finished in third place and their top runner
Marcus Graham (24:51) finished third at the 8K Queen City Invitational Friday evening at the McAlpine Creek Park.
Graham's time was the best of the season for him in an 8K. His average mile was 4:59.
Flagler tallied 109 points and trailed only Augusta University (21) and Milligan College 89) in the 42-team field.
Mathew Chesum of Benedict College was the top runner in the 320-man field with a time of 24:36. Jacob Poston of Augusta finished in second place with a time of 24:36.
Justin Greene (25:51) finished in 17
th place for the Saints.
Asad Bashir (26:07) finished in 22
nd place while
Joel Nesi (26:20) followed in 29
th place.
Connor Norton (26:43) and
Evan Fuller (26:43) finished back-to-back in 47
th and 48
th places.
Flagler heads to Romeoville, Illinois to run in the Lewis Crossover on Oct. 12.
