ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College sophomore first baseman Aaron Anderson was selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® NCAA Division II third-team, released by officials this afternoon.

Anderson is the second baseball player to receive Academic All-America honors joining Michael Maiocco (2016), who was a third-team selection.

The Division II Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams.

The St. Johns, Florida native holds a 4.00 cumulative grade point average and is an accounting and finance major. Anderson was the recipient of the Elite 15 Award, presented by the Education Advisory Board, at the Peach Belt Conference pre-tournament banquet and was named to the Academic All-Peach Belt team.

Anderson led the Saints in batting average (.343), hits (69), total bases (94), on-base percentage (.435), and finished with a .990 fielding percentage. His 42 runs scored was second on the team as well as his 13 doubles and 30 walks. Anderson was fourth in the PBC in hits

Flagler finished the season with a 30-23 overall recorded and shared the conference regular season title with a 19-11 mark.
