Flagler to open PBC tournament with Columbus State

ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College opens the Peach Belt Conference Tournament on Friday (May 11) with the No. 3 seed Columbus State University at 5 p.m. at Drysdale Field.

The Saints are the No. 6 seed and comes into the tournament with a 30-20 record. Flagler is 7-4 all-time vs. Columbus State in games played at Drysdale Field, which includes last year's series sweep.

Flagler will play, on Saturday (May 12), at 10 a.m. against the No. 7 seed Young Harris College. The Saints complete pool play at 5 p.m. against No. 2 seed USC Aiken.

The Saints will be designated as the visitors in their first two games.

The winners of Pool A and Pool B will meet in the championship game on Sunday at 1 p.m. Pool A consists of Georgia College, UNC Pembroke, North Georgia and Lander. Pool B consists of USC Aiken, Columbus State, Flagler and Young Harris.

1:30 p.m.: #5 North Georgia vs. #4 UNC Pembroke
5 p.m.: #6 Flagler vs. #3 Columbus State
8:30 p.m.: #7 Young Harris vs. #2 USC Aiken

Saturday, May 12 (at Drysdale Field)
10 a.m.: #6 Flagler vs. #7 Young Harris
1:30 p.m.: #7 Young Harris vs. #3 Columbus State
5 p.m.: #2 USC Aiken vs. #7 Flagler
8:30 p.m.: #3 Columbus State vs. #2 USC Aiken

Saturday, May 12 (at Tindall Field, St. Johns River State College, Palatka)
10 a.m.: #8 Lander vs. #5 North Georgia
1:30 p.m.: #4 UNC Pembroke vs. #8 Lander
5 p.m.: #5 North Georgia vs. #1 Georgia College
8:30 p.m.: #1 Georgia College vs. #4 UNC Pembroke

Sunday, May 13 (at Drysdale Field)
1 p.m.: Pool A winner vs. Pool B winner

Ticket prices are: $8 general admission; $5 for senior citizens, children under 12, military members, and members of the faculty and staff. Students of conference schools will be admitted free with a valid identification card from their school. PBC all sports passes will be honored with a valid photo ID.
