Women's Tennis

No. 13 Azusa Pacific defeats No. 33 Flagler, 7-2

Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE – The No. 13 (Oracle/ITA Division II ranking) Azusa Pacific University completed its stint in Florida with a 7-2 win over No. 33 Flagler College in a non-conference women's tennis match Tuesday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.

Azusa Pacific, from California, won its fifth consecutive match to improve to 15-6 overall. Flagler dropped to 8-9.

The Cougars came out of the gates strong winning all three doubles matches.

Lizanne Jinkertz, ranked No. 54 in the nation, improved to 11-5 this spring with a 6-1, 6-1 win over No. 11 Toby Miclat. It was Miclat's third loss of the season (17-3) and was undefeated (6-0) against nationally-ranked players. Camila Ramazzini knocked off No . 65 Diana Baumgartnere 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 singles for Flagler's other point.  

Flagler hosts NCAA Division I member Nicholls State University tomorrow (April 4) afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center at 3 p.m.
