Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – No. 13 (Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Division II Top 30) Georgia College rallied in both games to sweep a Peach Belt Conference baseball doubleheader, 8-5 in both, over Flagler College Saturday afternoon at John Kurtz Field.

Georgia College improved to 30-8 overall and 22-2 in the Peach Belt. Flagler dropped to 28-15 overall and 15-9 in conference play.

In game one, Flagler got on the board when Ethan Crout scored on Frankie Martello's double down the left field line in the first inning.

The Saints broke a 1-all tie in the third when three consecutive singles by Nikolas Dague, Crout and Dillon Reed produced a run and then an RBI single by Jason Moore gave Flagler a 3-1 lead. Aaron Anderson followed with an RBI double.

But the Bobcats erupted for a five-run eighth inning to wipe out a 5-3 Saints advantage. Logan Mattix hit an RBI double which chased Flagler starter Louis Pugliese from the game. Later, Brandon Purcell scored on Garrett Green's single to put Georgia College on top 6-5 and Brendan Holler followed with a two-run home run to cap the scoring.

Bobcat reliever Logan Howard (3-0) allowed one run on six hits in a five-inning appearance.

Matthew Miller went 3-for-5 with a double and a home run. Wesley Wommack collected two singles and scored a run.

Nick Martinez (3-1) took the loss in relief for the Saints. He pitched two-thirds of an inning, allowed three hits and three runs.

Martello finished 3-for-4 with a double and one run batted in. Moore went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Crout, Reed and Dague each collected two singles.

In game two, the Saints scored a run in the first two innings and added a third run in the fifth when Crout, who had tripled to lead off the inning, scored on a sacrifice fly by Martello.

Georgia College, trailing 3-1 going into the bottom of the fifth, was able to plate three runs and take a 4-3 lead. Purcell and Brandt Stallings led off the inning with singles and Green followed with an RBI single up the middle to score Purcell and Stallings sprinted to third. Eric Furphy dropped down a sacrifice bunt that scored Stallings to tie the game. Two batters later, Miller reached on a fielding error by Martello at third base, which scored the go-ahead run.

Wommack added a two-run single in the sixth in the three-run out-burst by the Bobcats.

Martello hit a two-run single in the ninth to get Flagler to within three, but the Saints couldn't get any closer.

Matt Studdard (4-1) picked up the win in relief. He scattered eight hits and allowed three runs over seven innings of work. Studdard fanned five.

Miller collected three singles and scored a run while Wommack drove in three runs on two singles.
